With only 32 hours left to go before the start of the 2015 Three Peaks Challenge, GrandSlam II has been safely delivered to the start of the race and is sitting happily in Barmouth harbour. She is currently being checked over by race officials to make sure she is complying with both safety and race regulations.
The Team GrandSlam runners will join the boat early tomorrow morning ahead of the evening race and overnight passage to Caernarfon. This is their first gruelling 24 mile race which sees them run to the top of Snowdon and back to the boat for approximately 5am on Sunday morning.
A few pre-race nerves are kicking in but the whole team are absolutely delighted to have raise £2400 so far for the Macmillan and Alzheimers charities and the generosity of people has meant they have smashed their initial target of £2000.
Keep an eye out for regular updates on how Team GrandSlam are doing in this epic challenge!!
